15mm Wespe Self-Propelled Artillery for Mid & Late War German Armies
Add mobile artillery support to your German force with this 15mm Wespe self-propelled gun. Mounting a 10.5cm field howitzer on a modified Panzer II chassis, the Wespe is an ideal addition to Mid and Late War German armies and provides a distinctive artillery option alongside conventional tanks and assault guns.
Introduced in 1943, the Wespe was developed to give German armoured formations artillery that could keep pace with mobile Panzer and Panzergrenadier units. It mounted the 10.5cm leFH 18/2 howitzer in an open-topped fighting compartment on the Panzer II chassis, creating a compact and mobile artillery platform.
The Wespe proved successful in service and was used on several fronts from 1943 onward. Its mobility and indirect-fire capability made it an important component of German self-propelled artillery batteries during the later years of the war.

Suitable for 15mm WW2 Wargaming
The Wespe is well suited to Mid and Late War German forces, providing mobile artillery support for Panzer, Panzergrenadier and combined-arms formations.
Its introduction in 1943 makes it particularly appropriate for later Mid War armies, while continued service through 1944 and 1945 also makes it suitable for Late War German forces and scenarios.
The Wespe has direct equivalents in major WW2 tabletop systems including Bolt Action and Flames of War, making it a useful choice for players building German armies for those systems at 15mm scale.
Designed for use alongside other 15mm WW2 miniatures, it can also be incorporated into a range of historical tabletop wargaming systems where appropriately scaled third-party miniatures are permitted.
Whether you're building a 1943 Panzer formation, adding mobile artillery to a Panzergrenadier force or expanding a Late War German army, the Wespe provides a highly recognisable support vehicle for the tabletop.
