Every piece is made for you. Not for a shelf.
Most terrain you’ll find online was made weeks or months ago in a factory overseas, sitting in a warehouse waiting for someone to order it. That’s not how we work.
At GameCraft, nothing gets printed until you place your order. Every piece of terrain that leaves our Canterbury workshop was made specifically for you — and that changes everything about how we operate.
How it works
1. You order. We print.
When your order comes through, we get it into the print queue straight away. We use FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) technology — the same process used by hobbyists and professionals worldwide — to produce high-quality, durable terrain pieces with excellent surface detail.
There’s no pre-made stock. No excess inventory sitting around. Just your order, printed fresh.
2. Locally sourced materials
99% of the materials we use come from New Zealand suppliers. That means a shorter supply chain, fresher filament, and a smaller carbon footprint on every order. We’re proud of our Kiwi roots and we back that up with where we spend our money.
3. Zero waste production
Any filament waste from the printing process — failed starts, support material, test pieces — gets recycled through KiwiFil, New Zealand’s own filament recycling programme. Nothing ends up in landfill. It’s a small thing on any given order, but across hundreds of prints it adds up to something worth doing.
4. Quality check and dispatch
Before anything gets packed up, we check it. Terrain pieces are inspected for print quality, layer adhesion, and dimensional accuracy. If something’s not right, we reprint it. We’d rather take the time to get it right than send you something that disappoints.
Once it passes inspection, your order gets packed carefully and sent out to you.
What you get
All our terrain ships unpainted. That’s intentional. We know that half the fun of this hobby is putting your own brush to the model — so we give you a clean, primed-ready surface and let you make it your own.
Our signature fold-flat design means your terrain doesn’t need a dedicated storage room. A full battlefield packs down into a surprisingly small box, making it practical for club nights, tournaments, and anyone short on shelf space.
Custom orders
Need something specific? We offer custom 3D printing and scanning services for one-off pieces, modified versions of our existing range, or entirely new designs. Lead times vary depending on complexity — custom versions of our listed products are usually around 2 days, while fully custom pieces take at least a week.
