Terrain for NZ Gaming Clubs | Bulk Orders & Club Discounts | GameCraft
Supporting NZ Wargaming Clubs
GameCraft exists because of the gaming community — and the club programme exists to give something back to it.
When I started this business, it wasn't purely commercial thinking that drove it. I'd been playing tabletop games in Canterbury for years, running games at club nights, helping organise events, watching clubs spend significant money on terrain that deteriorated faster than it should, or making do with borrowed pieces that didn't quite fit the format. The club programme is my way of making sure the community that made this business possible gets a proper deal.
If you run or play with a wargaming club in New Zealand, read on.
The GameCraft Club Programme
The club programme offers gaming clubs in New Zealand direct access to bulk pricing, tournament terrain packs, and a direct line to have terrain made for your specific needs. It's not complicated — there's no membership fee, no lengthy application, no hoops to jump through. You get in touch, tell me what your club needs, and we work out a deal.
What clubs get:
- Volume discounts on all orders (see tiers below)
- Priority lead times for event and tournament orders — if you have a hard deadline, tell me early and I'll work to it
- Custom terrain options — terrain designed around your club's specific event format or aesthetic
- Free NZ-wide courier delivery on all orders, same as everyone else
- A direct contact — you're dealing with me, not a support ticket queue
Discount Tiers
Our bulk discounts are straightforward:
|
Order Value |
Discount |
|
$300 – $599 |
10% off |
|
$600 – $999 |
15% off |
|
$1,000 – $1,799 |
20% off |
|
$1,800 and over |
25% off |
These discounts apply to your total order value after selecting pieces. Mixed orders — terrain for different game systems, accessories, custom items — all count toward the threshold. You don't need to buy a pre-set bundle to qualify; we calculate the discount on whatever your club actually needs.
For large orders (multiple full-table tournament sets), contact me directly and we'll work out the pricing before you commit.
Clubs We Already Support
We're proud to be working with the Canterbury Wargaming Club, one of the most active wargaming communities in the South Island. If you're a Canterbury club member and want to discuss terrain for an upcoming event, feel free to mention the partnership when you get in touch.
We're actively looking to build relationships with clubs across New Zealand — from Auckland down to Invercargill. If your club plays regularly and needs terrain that's reliable, easy to transport, and built to last, we'd love to hear from you.
Custom Terrain for Club Events
If your club is running a themed tournament, a narrative campaign weekend, or an event with specific terrain requirements, we can design and print pieces for it. This might mean:
- Terrain scaled or styled to match a specific campaign setting
- Pieces built to a particular WTC or event pack specification
- Consistent aesthetic across a full set of tournament tables
- Pieces with your club logo or event name incorporated into the design (where structurally practical)
Custom event terrain takes longer than standard orders — allow at least one week from design approval, more for larger sets. The earlier you get in touch, the more we can do.
How to Place a Bulk Order
There's no formal ordering portal for club bulk orders — the easiest thing is to email me directly. Tell me:
- What game systems you play and roughly how many tables you need to cover
- Whether you need tournament-grade terrain, casual terrain, or both
- Any upcoming event dates we need to work around
- Any specific format requirements (WTC, ITC, narrative, etc.)
I'll come back with a suggested piece list, pricing with your club discount applied, and a realistic lead time. Once you're happy, I print and ship.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum order for club pricing?Discounts start at $300. Below that, standard pricing applies — which is still fair. There's no minimum order to place a purchase; the discount tiers just kick in at higher values.
What are the lead times for club orders?Standard pieces typically ship within 3–5 working days. Custom pieces or large multi-table sets take at least one week from approval. If you have a tournament coming up, contact me as early as possible — ideally at least two to three weeks out.
Can we mix game systems in a single order?Yes. If your club plays both 40k and D&D, or runs events for multiple systems, we can mix terrain in a single order. The total order value counts together for discount purposes. Just list everything you need when you get in touch.
Do we need to be an incorporated club? No. Whether you're a formal club with a committee or a regular group of players who meet weekly, you're welcome to use the club programme. I'm not checking certificates of incorporation.
Email Rhys to Discuss Your Club's Terrain Needs
The easiest way to get started is a direct email. Tell me what your club plays, what you need, and when you need it — and I'll take it from there.
I typically reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
